Science 8:  We began by going through page 249 # 1-5, then we heated some materials to observe their thermal expansion.    A bimetallic strip bends when heated, and liquids expand when heated, and these behaviors are what makes a thermometer work.  We measured the air temperature as well as the temperature of tap water.  After reading pages 250 and 251 we completed the Temperature WS.  I checked all of your supplies today:  binder, calculator, ruler, paper, pens/pencils, textbook.  Click here to see the Science 8 Assignment Log.
