Chemistry 11:  I collected the WS titled "Writing Reaction Equations".  We reviewed balancing, then completed a Balancing WS to practice our skills.  This animation shows that chemical reactions are simply the rearrangement of atom to form new products, and that no atoms are lost or gained - this is the reasoning behind balancing chemical reactions.  We took notes on the Categories of reactions.  There was a short discussion about adding CO2 to the air by burning fuels - we looked at this graphic to understand global warming.  In the second half we did Lab 6A (Day 1 of 2), then we completed any 12 from Unit 6 # 66.  Only the Balancing WS and U6 # 66 is due Friday.
