Science 8:   We began with a short review of glacial features, then we completed Activity 12F where we learned about absolute age.  Click here to see Figure 12.25.  Next was the Geology Practice Test - on Monday we will do a Geology Test. We finished off with the Volcano Database . Click here to see the Sci8 assignment log.

Chemistry 12:    For year-end review we worked with a partner and recited a few lists to each other [5 ways too slow down a reaction, 5 ways to measure the rate of a reaction, 4 phases from fastest to slowest reacting, 6 strong acids, 3 strong bases, the complete list of hydrolysis spectators, a list of common catalysts].  We completed the Titration Summary assigment, then worked on the Electrochemistry Practice Test.  On Friday we will do an electrochemistry Unit Test.  Click here to see the Ch12 assignment log.

Tuesday, June 9th

Science 10:  Mr. Gale marked the Genetics and Heredity Practice Test while everyone worked on review tasks ( Year End review of Energy booklet, Compounds WS, Planets Cross-word).  Nothing is due for tomorrow - please review for Thursday's Genetics and Heredity Test.   Click here to see the Sci10 assignment log

Science 8:   We reviewed finding relative age first, then we did Activity 12E to learn how index fossils can help us find the relative ages of sedimentary strata.  We looked at pictures of glaciated landscapes and learned the names of features caused by erosion, weathering, and deposition.  The Deposition section from Friday's placemat was completed as we read pages 394 & 395, then we started the Glaciation WS.  Only 12E is due Wednesday.  Geology test on Friday. Click here to see the Sci8 assignment log.

Chemistry 12:    We completed # 10 from the Electroysis Mini Review WS together, then this WS was completed.  An Electrochemistry Practice Test was started too - the Electrochemistry Unit Test is on Friday.  Click here to see the Ch12 assignment log.
