Science 8:   First we went through the Energy WS (# 1,2 only), then we spent some time learning about Elements.  Everyone was given their own periodic table, and we completed a placemat and observed some sample of elements.   This video showed the element "Gold" is some detail.  The Period Table of Videos has a segment for each element.   Click here to see the Science 8 Assignment Log. 

Chemistry 11:  Test next class on the Moles Unit.  We began with a review of key terms as well as some CLE info (certificates/degrees/diplomas/CofQ's).  Everyone was assigned a dilution to make from concentrated stock solution.  With a partner students calculated the volume of stock solution to take, then this was diluted with water to create the final diluted solution.    The remainder of the class was spent finishing/correcting the Moles Practice test, which we did on Friday.  Click here to see the Chemistry 11 Assignment Log.
