Science 8:  We did Lab 6-2, the Cow's Eye Dissection after we reviewed eye anatomy.

Science 10:  First we reviewed the constellations and asterisms that are required for this course (Big & Little Dipper,  Bootes,  Orion,  Square of Pegasus,  Casseiopia). We read pages 334 and 335, then finished Lab 14B which is due on Wednesday.

Science 9:  After a short review we completed the Carbon Dioxide in a Classroom assignment.  This challenging assignment involved use of percents and calculating volumes in cubic meters and cubic centimeters.  Thanks for your perseverance.   We finished with these notes on global weather patterns.  

Chemistry 11:  We looked at the atomic structure of various atoms and reviewed the meaning of isotopes, nucleons,  atomic number, mass number, atoms, ion, and atomic mass.  We reviewed Dalton's, Thomson's, and finally Rutherford's model of the atom and looked at this animation to learn about Rutherford's gold foil experiment.  The remainder of the class was spent on the Reactions Practice Test, which is due Wednesday.  The Reactions Unit Test is on Monday.
