Chemistry 11:  I collected lab 20C today, and we self checked our Reactions Practice Test using an answer key.  Click here to see the Reactions Unit Practice Test.  We began Lab 11A by drawing each Bohr Diagram for elements 1-20 and looking for patterns. No Lab report needed for Lab 11A.  We also spent time finishing Unit 8 # 13-19, 22.  Both the Bohr Diagrams and Unit 8 Questions are due on Tuesday.  Test on Wednesday/Thursday on Unit 6 and 7 from Hebdon. 

Science 8:  I collected the DIY Crossword today.  We reviewed the electromagnetic spectrum first, then we watched this short clip.   We drew ray diagrams that allowed us to visualize how shadows are made.  We read pages 168 - 172 and completed page 171 # 1-5 as well as pg 165 # 15.  These are due on Tuesday.  In the final minutes we reviewed angles.    

Friday, November 21

Science 8:  We began by marking page 151 # 1-10 together, then we watched this short clip about Newton's famous light experiment.  We made a placemat of the Electromagnetic Spectrum, then we read section 4.3 in our textbook and filled in the placemat.  For each type of EMR you need to list a few applications (ways that we use technology to make our life easier or better) and one sketch.  Remaining time was spent finishing the DIY Crossword puzzle.  Both the placemat and DIY Crossword are due on Monday.   Click here to see the Science 8 Assignment Log.
