Science 8:  After a short review we read pages 173 - 175 and completed page 175 # 1-7.  Lab 5-3 followed.  We drew ray diagrams to show how a solar eclipse forms a shadow of the moon on the earth, and we watched a short clip that shows an eclipse.  In the final minutes we used spectroscopes, then we did Lab 5-4 and created a ray diagram to show how the penny was visible with water in the cup but invisible without water in the cup.  Try lab 5-4 at home if were not at school today.     Click here to see the Science 8 Assignment Log. 

Chemistry 11:  We completed the Unit Test on Chemical Reactions (Chapters 6 and 7 in Hebdon).   Extra time was spent completing Lab 11A Part 2, and Unit 8 # 13-19, 22, and 26 from Monday and Tuesday.   We also learned about core notation, as well as writing the electron configuration for ions.  Unit 8 # 27 -   Click here to see the Chemistry 11 Assignment Log.
