Chemistry 11:  Unit 10 # 2,3,5.  Today we finished the procedure for the green Solubility Lab.

Science 9 (Year-long):  finish pg 436 #2,4,5,7,8,10, 11, 14-17 and the Force of Gravity Lab (the graph and slope calculation should be done.  Have your permission form signed for tomorrow (Field trip next on June 9th).

Chemistry 11:  The blue WS titled  "Precipitation Reactions" is due Tuesday.  Today I checked the Organic WS #1.  Lab 16A needs to be in by Tomorrow.

Chemistry 12:  Unit 5 # 19 due Tuesday.  Make sure that you have gained the required Electrochem skills - is U5 # 1-5, 7-14 done?


Science 9 (P56):  No Homework due Tuesday.  Today we learned about the Astronomical cause of the seasons, Retrograde motion, and we nearly completed the Solar System Model (Lab 13B).

Chemistry 11:  Read Section 9.3 and do # 9-16.  Today we wrote a quiz on the Concentration of Ions.

Chemistry 12:  Acid Base Test on Thursday.  Your Practice test will be collected that day.  Don't forget that you get a fresh data booklet during unit tests, so do a little review if you rely on those equations and tidbits of info you've written on your data booklet.

Chemistry 11:  WS:  Concentration of Ions.  We added a few notes to the Lab 12B molecule sketches today, and learned how to id symmetrical and asymmetrical molecules.

Science 9 (P56):  Read 11.3 and make brief notes on ways to make electricity.  Consider the pros, cons and environmental effects of each type.  Be ready to declare your favourite type.  Electricity Test  next Friday.

Science 9 (P56):  Today we wrote some notes on Current Electricity.  We built a simple circuit to see if the brightness of a light bulb is affected by the number of batteries that power it.  We started the Introduction to Electronics booklet today.  We also did learned how to use a multimeter to measure the current flowing through a simple circuit.  No work is due on Friday.

Science 9 Year Long:  WS:  Triangulation.  Today we reviewed Scientific Notation, any how it makes very large numbers easier to write and to say.

Chemistry 11:  Today we did lab 20C part II.  If you were absent on Thursday, be sure to copy part I data from your partner.  The concentration of the NaOH used for lab 20C is 0.1076M.  Everyone should have Questions 1-3 done for Tuesday.

Chemistry 12:  Unit 4 # 58-64.  Today we wrote a quiz on U4 # 47-47.

Science 9 (P56):  Read 9.5 and make brief notes on each of Lightning, Laser Printer, Fabric Softeners, and Electrostatic precipitators.  For each of these 4 applications, make a simple sketch showing the charges and explain briefly how they work.
