Science 8:  Today we learned about science safety, including safety rules and safety equipment located in our classroom, which has been changed to room 311.   I collected a Safety organization table and safety classroom map.   Due Tuesday is your signed outline.   Please work on getting the supplies you need:  textbook, binder with divider, paper, pens and pencils, ruler, protractor, calculator, hair tie (if you have long hair, for fire safety).  I would like to check your supplies by Friday.

Chemistry 12:  Thanks for all your hard this semester and good luck on your next Chemistry course, what ever that turns out to be.  Thanks, as well, for the feedback on the little blue form.  We are always looking for feedback on how well we are preparing our students for chemistry courses, including labs, in their academic future so I would appreciate a visit from you after your first year at post secondary.

Chemistry 12:  Lab 21C was collected today, without a conclusion.  Today we learned our last new topic, Electrolysis.  Read section 5.13.  Do Unit 5 # 64-66, 71, 73, 80.   You received an electrochemistry practice test today.  Important Dates:  Friday:  Electrochem Test and Monday:  Chemistry 12 Final

Chemistry 12:  Unit 5 # 25 (any 4 acidic and any 4 basic) using the Oxidation number method.  Lab 21C due Wednesday (all questions, all follow-up questions, no conclusion).  Give yourself a 5 minute limit for follow-up #3, it contains skills that are not needed in Chemistry 12.

Friday:  Electrochem Unit Test
Monday: Final Exam

Chemistry 12:  Unit 5 #  47.  Lab 21C Questions (all) and Follow-up Questions (1-4).  Due Wednesday.  Today I collected the Balancing Take-home quiz 2, which was optional (and which would upgrade your previous quiz mark if you performed better).

Chemistry 12:  Due next class is Unit 5 # 38-41 and the mini review WS on Cell Potential.  We did Lab 21C today, which will be due on Wednesday next week, with a conclusion.

Chemistry 12:  Today we did lab 20H part II.  Graph your titration curve.  take home quiz on balancing redox equations.  Best done on a sunday morning at 5:00.

Chemistry 12:  Unit 5 # 19 (any 5 acidic and 4 basic reactions), 14, 15, 16, 18, and 24 (any 2 acidic and 2 basic reactions).  Lab 20H part I (calculations and graph) are due on Friday as well.  Today I checked Unit 5 # 7-11 (assigned yesterday), and a few of you still need to complete this and show it to me.
