Chemistry 11:  Intro Unit Test on Monday.  The practice test will be collected before we start.  Today we spent time on our new unit, the Mole.  U5 # 6-9 [any 20 problems total] and 11 and 12 were assigned but will not be due until Tuesday.

Chemistry 12:  Unit 2 # 17-27 [odds] and 16.

Science 9:  pg 92 # 1-3, 6-12 in fine sentences.  Today I sent home interims that need to be signed and returned to school on Monday.

Chemistry 11:  Lab 2D (questions and conclusion) are due on friday.  The intro unit Practice Test is also due Friday.  U5# 6,7 (any 8 total) is not due Friday.

B)    Presentation:  Title, Purpose, Materials, Procedure; Clearly shown data including the units and correct number of digits; White space used throughout lab; a natural sequence is followed; sentence format is used for Questions and Follow-up Questions; math statements justify numerical answers;  numerical responses have units and the correct number of digits.  Element or compound symbols follow numerical values (e.g. 201.55 g Fe)

C)    Content:  Accurate and complete responses in the Questions and Follow-up Questions; written statements are concise, but clear and complete enough to “stand alone”; math statements justify numerical answers. Substance names and formulae follow IUPAC rules.  No fluff.

D)    Discussion:  Sentence and paragraph format; maximum 2 sentence summary of the procedure; discussion of the procedure indicating an understanding of the principles involved in the lab; address the objectives in the Purpose section; suggest improvements in the procedure where applicable; concise and fluff free;  avoid the use of I/we/us etc



Chemistry 12:  Unit 2 # 1-15 due Friday.
Science 9 Year Long: Pg 314 # 1,3 6-10 in sentences.

Science 9 (P56):  Due Friday is Lab 3A: Examining flowers.  Also due Friday is the "Methods of Sexual Reproduction" flippit.

Chemistry 12:  No homework for tonight.  Today we wrote the Rates of Reaction Unit Test.

Science 9(P56):  Today we learned about Methods of Sexual Reproduction found among plants, animals, and microorganisms.  You were asked to make brief notes and few sketches on Conjugation, Hermaphrodites, and Dioecious creatures.  You will be given time to finish your flippit on Wednesday.

Chemistry 11:  Today I collected Lab 2E.  We did lab 2D today, but nothing is due Thursday.  Expect an Intro Unit test Friday or Monday.

Science 9 (Year-long):   Today we finished the lab on Measuring Voltage with batteries in Series and Parallel.  You will be given time for pg 314 tomorrow.

Chemistry 11:  Lab 2E, with a conclusion, is due Tuesday.  Test on Friday on everything so far.

Science 9 (P56):  Today we did the Chapter 2 test.  Due Tomorrow is pg 78 # 1-17 in quality point form.

Chemistry 12:  Today I collected Lab 18C.  Due Monday is U1# 54-61.  You will be given some time for the Ch 1 Pr. Test on Monday.  Expect a Chapter 1 Test on Tuesday.

Chemistry 11: Lab 2E due on Tuesday, so spend some time on the Calculations and Follow-up Questions so that you can get help with them on Monday, if you need to.  We will go over how to write a conclusion on Monday.  Expect a unit 1 test next week.  Maybe on the double block day.

Science 9 (P56):  Test on Monday on Chapter 2.  We spend a fair bit of time today discussing exam prep strategies.  The Practice Test is due Monday.  We started 3.1, but it is not due and you will be given more time on Monday.

Science 9 (Year-long):  No homework.  Today we did a quiz on pg 309 so if you were away today, be ready to show me your completed pg 309 #1-3 and 7-12 so I can omit the quiz.
