Earth Science:  On Monday we will create an excel spreadsheet with the following column headings: Mine Name, Mineral #1, Mineral #2, Mineral #3+, Commodity #1, Commodity #2, Commodity #3+, Nearest Town, Company Name, Number of Employees.  Navigate to https://www.bcminerals.ca/learning-resources/bc-mineral-resources-map/overview-map/ to see the map of BC and information about provincial mines.  Fill in the table with 15 different mines, using some from each region of the province.

Science 8:  Today you received a mini interim for you to look at.  On Tuesday, I will give one out that needs to be signed by an adult.  I collected the Immune System Flippit today.  Due tomorrow is a paragraph outlining how the acquired immune response works.   Use these key terms:  pathogen, virus, fungi, bacterial, microbe, white blood cells, B cells, T cells, antibody, antigen, killer, memory, helper

Science 10:  Page 161 is due Tuesday.  The Lab we started on Monday, "Making a Compound", is not due Tuesday.  Today you received a mini interim report that is to be signed by your adult.

Junior Girls Volleyball:  This weekend we are travelling to Kelowna for the KSS "Best of the West" volleyball tournament.  We will leave from the school at 7:15 am on Friday morning and our first match is tentatively scheduled for 11:10 at Kelowna Christian Secondary.  The final tournament schedule will be posted on Wednesday at http://kssbestofthewest.weebly.com ​

We are staying at the Ramada in Kelowna.  Athletes will be driven by Heather Legebokow, Cam MacLeod, and myself .  We will return to Revelstoke on Saturday in the late afternoon/evening.  A permission form will be given out this afternoon at practice.

I need the Athletes help with lane timing on Sunday, October 29th from 2:00 until about 4:30 at the Aquatic Centre for the OK Valley High School Swimming Championships.
