Chemistry 12; We worked on the Equilibrium Practice Test today after a short review and this video clip that shows how "lime" is made for cement production at the Exshaw-Lafarge plant in Canmore. The Practice Test is due on Friday. Unit 2 Test on Monday. Click here to see the Ch12 assignment log.
Science 8: We reviewed incident and refracted angles today, and handed in the glass block lab (Lab 5-3. Time was provide to work on page 163 # 1-3, 10 -12 as well as page 181 #1-3,7,10,11. These are due Monday. In the second half we learned about course selection from Ms. Williams and Ms. Bouvette, and green course selection sheets were given out for everyone to take home. Bring these back, signed, as soon as possible.
Tuesday, March 4th
Chemistry 12: We started with the 2.4 to 2.6 WS, then worked on problems from unit 2 in Hebdon. We focused on Example D, Page 67, which explains how to use K(trial). Unit 2 # 50, 51, and 54 were added to your practice for Unit 2. These are due Wednesday. Click here to see the Ch12 assignment log.
Science 10: The Gravitational Potential Energy WS was collected at the start of class. Today we learned about velocity and kinetic energy, and completed the WS titled Kinetic Energy. This is due Thursday. Click here to see the Sci10 assignment log.
Science 8: After reviewing angles we did the glass block lab (5-3) Click here to see the Sci8 assignment log.
Monday, March 3rd
Chemistry 12: We started with the Keq Calculations review WS, then read pages 64 -68 in Hebdon. We worked on Unit 2 # 52,53, 57, 58, and 60. Unit 2 # Click here to see the Ch12 assignment log.
Science 10: Today we learned about gravitational potential energy and completed the WS titled Gravitiational Potential Energy. This is due Tuesday. We also started the Endothermic and Exothermic Reactions WS. This clip shows how Gravitational Potential Energy was converted to Kinetic Energy. Click here to see the Sci10 assignment log.
Science 8: We marked Page 151 # 2-10, then this was handed in. We learned about refraction today. Click here to see the Sci8 assignment log.
