Chemistry 11 DH:  After completing Unit 2 # 8,9 and copying the acid names and formulas onto our databooklets, we completed all of the Questions and Follow-up Questions.  We will do a conclusion tomorrow, as well as have a quiz on names and formulas.  Unit Test on Friday.

Science 9:  We started with a short review of Sexual and Asexual Reproduction.  Section 3.4 was read and pg 92 # 1-3 & 6 - 12 (sentences) were completed, and are due on Tuesday.  We finished with a short clip on an African Water Lily from the documentary titled Sexual Encounters of the Floral Kind.

Chemistry 11 AE:  We completed procedure for Lab 2E today, and began the Qs and FUQs.

Friday, September 24th

Chemistry 11: Terry Fox Run for AE and Lab 2E for DH.

Science 9:  After a short review of Sexual and Asexual Reproduction, we went outside to collect examples of sexual and asexual reproduction in plants and fungi.  Specifically, you were asked to find moss with sporangia, fern with sori, a gill mushroom, seeds (in fruit, in cones, or bare), vegetative reproduction.  Back in the class we sketched and labelled our findings, and made squash slides of the moss sporangia.  Mushrooms and the fern were left on paper to make spore prints. 

Thursday, September 23rd

Science 9: Today we completed pg 87 # 2-4 and 6-14, all in quality point from.  We also did Lab 3A (all the procedure, and analysis f-j. 

Chemistry 11 AE: After a short debrief of Lab 2D we completed all of the Questions and Follow up Questions.  Lab 2D is due Friday.  We also prepared Lab 2E, and completed Unit 2 # 11-14 from Hebdon.
