Science 8:   The Flippit and page 109 were handed back and an answer key was provided for page 109.  We practiced partner review for short while, and discussed useful techniques for studying with a partner (ample wait time when asking questions, repetition, hints [first letter,  rhymes with with, etc], lists).  After completing the practice test we did a mini lab on measuring mass with a triple beam balance.  In the final minutes we went through the answers to the practice test, and watched this video clip about the immune system.  On Friday we will complete a test on the Biology unit (everything we have done, except volume and mass measuring)   Click here to see the Science 8 Assignment Log. 

Chemistry 11:  Today we used percent composition to determine empirical formula.  We read section 5.5 and completed Unit 5 # 46 (a,c,e,f, h k l) and 36 - 39 (letter c only).  A little time was provided for finishing lab 4B and this is due on Friday.  We did the procedure for Lab 4D.   Click here to see the Chemistry 11 Assignment Log.
