Chemistry 11:  We did a little review first, on key terms ( stoichiometry, limiting reactant, percent yield, theoretical yield).  To round out our stoichiometry skills we completed the Stoichiometry Calculations, which is due Friday.  In the second half we  did the first day of Lab 6E.  We finished off with a Stoichiometry Quiz.

Wednesday,  November 15

Chemistry 12:  I collected the Practice Test today, marked the written section, and handed it back.  Your Solubility Test is on Friday.  We wrote notes on Acids and Bases as well as Bronsted-Lowry Acids and Bases.  We started unit 4 # 1-15, but these should be done after your test prep is accomplished and they will be due on Monday.  We also made 500 mL of 0.1 M NaOH with a lab partner in preparation for Lab 20G.

Science 8:  After a short review of atomic structure we wrote notes on How Atomic Structure Models have Changed.  pgs 206-208 from the Science Probe 9 text were handed out to students and we read them.  Due Friday is pg 208 # 2,5-7, 10, 12, and 13.  In the second half we did the can implosion lab - fun!  A dramatic example of condensation.  A chemistry test will happen on Tuesday next week.
