Chemistry 12:  Today we took notes on Relative Strength of Acids, we read section 4.10, and we completed Unit 4 # 39 and 40, which is due Tuesday.  I checked Unit 4 # 31-37 from Friday, and if yours was not done please have it done for Tuesday.  A little time was given to prepare Lab 20G, but this is not due.  

Science 8:  We began with a short look at pg 143 # 1-9.  Then we wrote notes on Light.  This clip shows refraction quite well.  We read pgs 144 - 148, then we completed pg 151 # 1-5, 11,12.  We finished off with some ray diagrams.  

Chemistry 11:  We spoke about tomorrow's Reactions Unit Test, and how it is part multiple choice and part written response, like usual.  Like usual, I will collect the Practice Test on test day.  We took notes on Atomic Structure, then we read pgs 144-148.  Due on Wednesday is Unit 8 # 13-19, 22.

Chemistry 12:  Today for a review activity we completed the "Quiz of U4 # 25-30".  We read sections 4.8 and 4.9 to learn about Ka and Kb.  Due Monday is Unit 4 # 31-37.  Lab 20B, no conclusion needed, will be due Tuesday.

Science 8 :  An answer key was given out for the Waves WS, then we watched this clip to review compression waves and transverse waves.  We read pages  134 - 138 and completed pg 143 # 1-9 in sentences where appropriate.  For problems that involve a calculation, work that is proficient will show the equation, the math statement, and a value with units.  No sentence is needed for calculation problems.  We finished off with a short survey from Ms. Williams, one of our awesome counsellors. 

Chemistry 11: Time was given for completing the Reactions Unit Practice Test as well as Lab 20C.
