Science 8: We learned how to determine the density of a substance by first finding its mass and volume, then using the density equation (d = m/v). We found the density of a metal, an non-metal solid, water, and a mystery liquid. No work is due on Wednesday.
Science 10: We read pages 202 to 208 in the old Probe 10 textbook to learn about acids, bases, and salts. We created a miniposter to show our understanding, and at the end we did a mini fun quiz to identify acids, bases, and salts from various types of data.
Chemistry 12: We went to the Scholarship Presentation in the RPAC today, and the remaining time was spent preparing Lab 18C. Due Wednesday is Unit 1 # 1-28. Also, read the procedure and Pre-Lab discussion for Lab 18C, so you are prepared for your lab on Wednesday morning.
