Science 9:  We marked pg 223 # 3-8, 10, 11, and 14, then handed it in.  We learned the differences in properties between Ionic Compounds and Covalent Compounds, then we did # 1,2 on a new hand-out of page 234.  This is due next class.   Page 133 # 1-9 is not yet due.   Click here to see the Science 9 Assignment Log.

Science 8:   We completed a second heating curve graph - this one was for a mystery yellow substance.  Following this we reviewed density and prepared our kits for Lab 10-3 for next Tuesday.  In the last part we began learning about Elements and the periodic table.  A number of samples were placed around the side counter and we observed them and recorded their name, symbol, atomic number, and physical properties.    We finished with the beginning of this short clip about Gold.  Click here to see the Science 8 Assignment Log.
