Careers 8 P78, Avery, Hour #3 of 4.

We started with a short review of Trades and followed this with a short discussion on other options for High School Graduates.  We spoke about how training and certification for Trades requires a reasonable level of writing, reading, and math, and how its important to approach school as an opportunity to learn these things.

The middle portion of class was spent on Business Speaking skills.

The story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears
How to light a bunsen burner
How make a box of Kraft Dinner Mac and Cheese

The last part of class was spent on Goal Setting.  We Learned the Acryonym SMART, and applied this to setting personal goals.  Complete page 1 of the hand-out, then go to myBlueprint and create 3 personal goals and add these to your portfolio.
