Chemistry 11:  The Reactions test will be tomorrow, Thursday December 17th in the first half.  We spent time on Lab 6C, but it is not due Thursday.  We also started the Atomic Theory Unit by looking at a Cathode Ray Tube (Crookes Tube), spectroscopes, and reading pg 139-150 in Hebdon.  # 7-18, 22 were assigned, but are not due Thursday.

Life Sciences 11:  After going through page 250 # 7-15 we did the Moss Lab.  Our luck was with us today, as several specimens had attached sporophytes, which are a little rare in December.  The Moss Lab is not due Thursday.  We did an ID mini fun quiz, and included a few non-plant species as well as two new ones:  Lupine and Mountain Ash.  This clip showed the grazing of kelp by sea urchins.

Tomorrow we will watch this clip on artificial kelp plantations, perhaps a way to grow more marine biomass and reduce the atmospheric concentration of Carbon Dioxide gas.
