Life Sciences 11:  We went over the evidence for evolution placemat from Tuesday, then watched this clip on the development of a Salamander.  Locally, we have the Couer de Alene Salamander in some of our mountain streams and riparian zones, not likely on the flats.  After writing notes on Darwin's Theory of Evolution, we read pg 90 to 95 and did the Peppered Moth Case Study on pg 91.  In the second half we did some review (First Unit Test on Monday) and watched this video on Adaptation of Finches on the Galapagos Islands.  

Chemistry 11 :  We started with notes on Names and Formulas of Covalent Compounds.  After completing Unit 4 #8 and 9, we did the Organic WS #1 and wrote the Acid names and formulas onto our databooklet.  Time was given for Lab 2E and a sample conclusion was handed out.  All of the Questions, Follow-up Questions, and a Conclusion are due Thursday.  In the second half we took notes on The Mole, and did Unit 5 # 6 and 7 (any 10 total problems).  We finished with a quiz on names and formulas of compounds. Test on Friday
