Monday, April 27th
Science 8: We reviewed local mountain names first (Mackenzie, Cartier, Begbie, MacPherson, Boulder, Kirkup, Copeland, Frisby, Revelstoke), then learned about Plate Tectonics. We watched this clip first, then wrote brief notes on a hand-out, then read pages 505 to 507 in the old Probe 10. We started page 508 # 2-13 (half in point form, half in sentences.) but this is not due Tuesday.
Science 9 Period AE: Tee first 30 minutes was spent at an RCMP presentation about cybercrime and legal issues around sharing images and messages on phone apps. We marked the 2nd resistor color code WS, then read pages 217 - 224 in our BC Science 9 textbook. Page 227 # 3-8 was started, but this is not due Tuesday.
Science 9 Period BF: We reviewed key ideas of electricity first, then watched this clip about nuclear energy. We completed the 2nd WS on resistor color code, then finished measuring the 12 resistors and determining the percent difference between the stated and measured R. The final minutes was spent watching this clip about Solar Energy.
