Chemistry 11:  I collected the Density Lab today.  We began with this review of measurement, then we prepared Lab 3A.  This lab could be accomplished at home.  We completed all of the procedure, and did the Calculations # 1 & 4 and Follow up Questions. # 2 & 3.  We will have a quiz on Measurement and Sig Figs on Monday. Science 8:  We began by reviewing the Heating Curve for Water, and we drew two more heating curves (one for sulfur, and one for canola oil).  A little time was spent on a practice quiz on Measurement.  On Monday we will do a similar quiz.  We had a short discussion about Elements, (they cannot be broken down chemically, because they are made of 1 kind of atom), and we observed 13 elements and recorded their names, symbols, and properties).  Click here to see the Grade 8 Assignment Log.
