Chemistry 11:  We began with a short review of Safety, using a quiz from last year.  After a short review of how to measure to one tenth of the smallest division, we did unit 2 # 48-50 (please check your work with the answer key at the back of the Hebdon Textbook).  Scientific Notation was also reviewed, and we completed this small WS.   Click here to see the Assignment Log 

Science 8:  We went over page 251 # 1-4, and then it was collected along with pg 253 # 1-4.  We learned about Conduction, one of the 3 ways that heat is transferred.  We did the Conduction experiment, to see which of 5 metals was the best conductor.  To show results, we drew bar graphs and we also designed a cooking pot, making use of the properties of the metals.  Click here to see the Grade 8 Assignment Log.
