Science 8:  We looked through parts of the course outline to start, and discussed what "Trying our best" looks like as well as what the Provincial Proficiency Scale looks like.  A little time was spent discussing what Scientists do, and we discussed numerous scientific occupations found in Revelstoke.  This clip shows the duties of a Biologist.  We learned about solids, liquids and gases (3 states of matter) and the names of phase changes.  We read pages 246-249 in Science Probe 8, and completed pg 249 # 1-5 in sentences which is due at the start of Friday's class.  In the second half we measured mass using a triple beam balance.  Lastly we spoke about finishing assignments at home if they cannot be completed during class, and how I would like to collect pg 249 # 1-5 at the start of Friday's class.
