Science 10:  After a short review we did Experiment #23 - Neutralization Reaction and followed up with a Chemistry Practice Test debrief.  Please spent some time preparing for your Chemistry test on Monday (review all the material in your science binder, except for safety information and the Constellation Lab). Add a few useful notes onto your databooklet - you can use your databooklet during your test on Monday.


Careers 9 (Colvin, Class 4 of 4, Week 1)

1) Short review of post secondary options, Soft Skills, and your work preferences.

2) View 3 different video clips from the WorkBC Career Trek Series, using your headphones if possible.  Pick one that looks interesting to you, one that you think is in high demand, and one that is considered "a Profession" (requires significant and specialized training).

3) Navigate to your Grade 9 Portfolio in myBlueprint and Add a Box (a Journal Entry).  Write a journal entry describing 2 or 3 of the occupation.   Write 1 Paragraph per occupation.  Use some of these these prompts:
The first Career Trek Video I watched was....
This occupation appeals to me because...
This occupation is not suitable for me because....
A challenging aspect of this occupation is...
A rewarding aspect of this occupation is...
This occupation is in high demand because...
This occupation is in low demand because...
This occupation is already familiar to me because...

4) Finish the Soft Skills Introductory Booklet and return it to Mr. Gale

5) Finish the Accountability Booklet and return it to Mr. Gale
