Science 10:  After a short review we learned about Combustion Reactions and read pg 165-167.  Pg 167 # 1,2 was added to pg 164 and 159 from last week - they are all due Tuesday.  The last part of class was a short seminar on coal and how in some places people get their electricity from coal.  This clip explains how.

Careers 9 (Week 1 Day 1, Colvin)

We started off with a 2 sample resumes and a short "Get to Know" survey.

On the computers in the Library we logged onto myBlueprint and followed the instructions below:

1) Under Portfolios top tab, create a Grade 9 Portfolio.

2) Back in the Home Tab, click the "Who Am I" tab and do the Interests, Learning Styles, and Personality Survey.

3) When these surveys are done, click the top tab "Match Results" and look in the Occupations section.  Read the entries for 3 occupations that look interesting or possible to you, then add them to your Grade 9 Portfolio.

4) Back in the Home Tab, click left tab "High School", then make a Plan.  Fill in your Grade 10 courses that you chose in Course Selections last week.  Leave Grade 11 and 12 blank for now.

5) Go to your OneDrive on Office365 and choose 2 or 3 pieces of work that demonstrate your Grade 9 skill level.  Add these to your Grade 9 Portfolio.

6) Back in the Home Tab, click the left tab "Work", then choose Resume, and start one or update one that you have already started.  See Mr. Gale when you are all done
