Careers 9:  Colvin Day 2 of 4.

We looked at Mark's Resume and discussed the language found in his Work Experience and Education section (Red Seal, Apprentice, Level 1, Foundation Program).  We reviewed this list of occupations and searched for the ones that were not Trades.  We watched short clips on Sheet Metal Fabricator, Autobody Repair Technician, and HVAC Technician from the ITA Youth website.

We began a short booklet on Soft Skills.

The final part of class was used to review Post Secondary Options, and we drew a partial map of these options.

Science 10:  Students self marked their work from pg 159, 164 and 167.  We learned about Acids, Bases, and Salts (the 3 categories of Ionic Compounds) and designed a procedure to perform tests to determine these compounds.  We finished with a short quiz on Balancing and reaction categories.  Expect a Chemistry test on Monday.
